Level 1 Start Powerboating
Assumed knowledge: None required
Required experience: None
Course content: Launch and recovery, preparation of boat and crew, basic boat handling, safety equipment, picking up and securing to a mooring buoy, leaving and coming alongside, being towed (delivered in English).
Ability after course: A basic understanding of powerboating.
Minimum duration: 1 day (8 hours)
Minimum age: 8 years+
Certificate issuing criteria: Continuous assessment by instructor; no exam. RYA certificate in English issued upon successful participation.
Format: Combination of classroom and practical on-water training.
Groups: Small groups, typically max 3 students per instructor/ boat.
Level 2 Powerboat Handling
Assumed knowledge: None required (Level 1 is not a prerequisite)
Required experience: None.
Course content: Boat handling (low and high speed), close quarters maneuvering, man overboard recovery, anchoring, securing to a buoy, navigation basics, collision regulations, launching and recovery (delivered in English).
Ability after course: Able to handle a powerboat in familiar waters by day. Supervision is required for ages 12-16.
Minimum duration: 2 days (16 hours)
Minimum age: 12 years+
Certificate issuing criteria: Continuous assessment by instructor; RYA certificate in English issued upon successful demonstration of required skills.
Format: Combination of classroom and practical on-water training.
Groups: Small groups, typically max 3 students per instructor/ boat.

Assessment is continuous throughout the course- no final exam.

Maximum 3 students per instructor/boat for a focused, hands-on experience.

Level 2: Confidently operate a powerboat independently in suitable conditions. -
Cancellation more than 24hours before session: 100% refund or free rescheduling
Cancellation less than 24 hours before session: 50% of the session fee will be charged
No-show without any notice: 50% of the session fee will be charged
Medical emergency before session: No charge applies (supporting documentation may be requested)

The student (or guardian) must be informed of the following:
Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
Winter Sessions: Wear warm clothing, windbreakers, gloves if needed.
Summer Sessions: Use sunscreen, sunglasses, and wear a hat.
Rainy Days: Bring an extra change of clothes and a towel.
The student is reminded to:
Arrive 15 minutes early
Bring any prescribed medication
Notify the center of any changes in medical condition
Upon arrival you will need to fill in the Enrollment form and Medical Declaration form (for underage, the guardian needs to fill-in the forms)
